2 minute segment of Flight, a 20 mn long film, silent because it will be screened with the bands Black Yodel and Dire Wolves providing live scores.
The tempo of this work will harmonize with the tempo of live music performance - long moments of symbolic presence for the audience to recognize and then ‘rest on’ visually, while listening to how the music is being performed. That, and, its a fuckin’ trip.

Curated by Pittsburgh filmmaker Mike Maraden, the other screening artists are local notables Justin Crimone, Michael Maraden, Tess Allard, Anna Hawkins, Ben Hernstrom, Chris Smalley, Matthew R. Day, and Keith DeVries.
The show, Sync’d, happens at Pittsburgh Filmmaker’s in the Melwood Screening Room (477 Melwood St, N. Oakland, Pittsburgh) on December 18.

the iconic drawings come from a vocabulary of symbols that i’ve been working with & slowly transforming in paintings, prints, & drawings, for about ten years. in this instance it is the image of the line-drawn heart, which has transformed to have birds sitting on the line.

fibonacci numbers anyone? : beautiful/strange (an alchemical romance) 2006 : i created this combination animation and live footage piece for a 72-hour filmmaking challenge in Braddock, PA october of 2006. hasn’t been seen publicly since early 2007. enjoy.
